After yesterday's devastating victory of «Real Madrid» with a score of 1:6 over the Turkish «Galatasaray», Barça begins today its participation in the Champions League 2013-2014 with a match against Amsterdam's FC «Ajax». In the Dutch team will play an ex-former player of «Barcelona» Bojan Krkic.

Also today, in the Champions League, after a four year absence from the list of commands, meets the Club of Madrid, «Atlético de Madrid» with «Zenith» from St. Petersburg.

Both matches will be held at 20.45 CET.

FC «Barcelon » receives the Dutch club in his home stadium «Camp Nou». “Barça” has a clear goal – to achieve victory and thus begin the Champions League with a good note. More important it becomes for the players and fans of the team after a rather tense victory over FC «Seville» last Saturday.

In addition, this year's FC «Barcelona» has got quite a difficult group , where FC «AC Milan» and FC «Celtic» necessarily will play an important part. Therefore it is very important to win in the first match of the group phase of the competition. At first glance, it seems that there is nothing to be afraid for FC “Barça” and the team will win this match. The main part of the club is ready, with the exception of an unexpected injury of Jordi Alba, received in the match against the FC «Seville». In the club reigns good, positive attitude, which is also supported by four wins in four matches held during the Spanish Football League. Currently FC «Barcelona» is a leader in the domestic competition.

In addition, the growing understanding of the key players on the team, Leo Messi and Neimar, that is constantly being improved and strengthened, which could be seen in a game against a team from Seville, where the Brazilian has successfully assisted to Leo, who scored the second goal of the match. The decision on the debut of Brazilian striker in the prestigious Champions League, in any case, depends on the head coach of FC «Barcelona», el “Tata” Martino.

There is no doubt that the Dutch team led by Frank de Boer will enter the field with a thirst for the ball and an attacking mood. For the team of Barcelona it will be a good chance to showcase their game and tactical capabilities.
